snowboarding documentation

Details, and notes for myself:

What to do next time:

- bring more clothes and warm things, like a hat and scarf for your face.  find out how to cold-proof the area between jacket and glove (wrists-ish)

- avoid sunglasses tan. (how?)

- eat lots before going.  no more snowboarding on an empty stomach

- work out lots before going (no more of this sore shit).  and not just a week before, this must be consistent to reap benefits

What not to do next time:

- fall on wrists.  seriously, it’s your fourth time.  cut it out.

- chase after faster snowboarders/skiiers

- since you’re not going to do that last one, let’s analyze how speed was lost:

= too much control -> too much braking.  get used to the speed if you want to go faster (duh)

= carve more, toe/heel brake less (references control portion)

= how much of it is the rental board, and how much of it is skill?  speed is speed (Derrick Rose says, “SPEED DUN LIE.  DURRR.”) and you still have to get used to going that fast regardless of board.  the right board provides more acceleration, though

- falling on side still hurts.  falling on butt still hurts.  this hurt more because of the speed i’m travelling at.  there has to be ways to fall properly and make it hurt less; or maybe just don’t fall at all (unlikely)
